Commission Art for your Little One

Does your little one love buses and cars? Is she obsessed with monkeys? If your little on'es favourite thing is not offered currently, get in touch using the contact form and we'll be able to get our artists to create a mini masterpiece for them.

Fine Art Commissions

Both Lilwah Galleries resident artists, Becky Czik and Martin Middleton, take commissions. The process is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

Martin can work from your photographs to capture on canvas your special moments for you to enjoy forever. Becky can also work from photographs as well as producing work more loosely based around certain criteria of your choosing.

Just drop us an e-mail and answer three simple questions:

1. Would you like the painting on canvas board, normal canvas (2cm deep) or chunky canvas (3.5cm)? As a tip, canvas board is the easiest to frame, chunky canvas does not need to be framed and we can paint the side of the canvas to match the composition and also your tastes. Obviously you don't need to frame a normal canvas either but I think that the chunky canvas gives a really contemporary feel to the work.

2. Your next consideration is how large you would like the painting. Just give us an idea and we can take it from there.

3. Next, write down a few thoughts about the piece you want to commission and why it is so special to you. This will help us to connect to the photo or brief you have given us when our artists are painting for you.

Also, if applicable, don't forget to attach the photo that you would like painted!! Try to ensure that the picture that you send us is good quality as this will help to make the painting come alive. Use the contact form to get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Once we receive your e-mail we will be able to consider your preferences and agree a price for the work.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Here are just a few examples of work that has been commissioned:

nursery art commission 'Lucy's Rainbow' was commissioned by Lucy's mum Krissy as a Christmas present for Lucy in 2008.  Lucy loves rainbows and butterflies and the painting now takes pride of place in her room.
nursery art commission 'William's Monkey' was commissioned by William's dad Dom as a Birthday present in 2008.  Will is mad on monkeys and Dom wanted a painting for his room that made him smile.  Job done.
affordable art commission 'George and Ruby' was commissioned by Andy in 2007 as a mother's day present for his wife Alice.  Andy was on a tight timescale (2 weeks) and only had an old mobile phone photo that printed out at a grainy 3cm by 3cm to work from.  Both Andy and his wife were delighted with the result.
affordable art commission Alex commissioned this piece of street kids playing in Brazil for his wife to be as a wedding gift, and...
affordable art commission ...Alex and his wife Chloe liked the piece we had painted for them so much that they commissioned this view of the streets surrounding Goodison Park for Alex's cousin's 30th birthday.
affordable art commission, carly bryant 'Watching Carly' is another piece that was commissioned for Christmas 2008.  Carly is a musician from Brighton and her girlfriend Kim asked us to paint a view of the audience at one of Carly's open air gigs.
